Moldova's force structures have been reinforced in view of the coming CIS summit to be held in Chisinau on October 3-4.
Officials of Moldova's Information and Security Service said on Thursday that immigrants from the so-called "risk zone" (Middle East and Northern Africa) would be particularly watched.
Police will pay special attention to persons having fire arms - Moldova's citizens have the right to possess and bear pistols, revolvers and other guns. Each arms holder obliges in the written form not to bear the arms during the summit, while some persons will have to give up their arms for temporary storage.
In order to avoid congestion of people and transport, the Chisinau authorities have decided to forbid trade on the city's central market and adjacent streets for the summit's two days. Chisinau's central roads will be shut off, drivers are recommended to stay off the city centre during the summit.
The unprecedented security measures undertaken by Moldovan force structures these days are complemented with joint actions of special services of other CIS countries, whose representatives are already in Chisinau.
