Moldavian Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev thinks that the CIS summit in Chisinau will be "a turning point for further development of relations between the CIS states." "I think that the forthcoming summit will be characterized by renovation, transformation and reforms," the Moldavian Prime Minister said in his interview with RIA Novosti.
Mr. Tarlev is sure that issues concerning free trade zone, single transportation system and cooperation between the CIS-sates in energy field as well as other issues that seemed impossible to tackle earlier could be settled at the CIS summit in Chisinau.
The Moldavian Prime Minister said that "the country intended to propose a single CIS information space reforming program." "Our proposal is based on what the CIS citizens really need and it will contribute to the development of national economy of every CIS state and to social stability as well," stressed Mr. Tarlev.
Vasile Tarlev pointed out that preparation for the forthcoming CIS summit as well as the CIS summit itself would contribute not only to a better situation in Moldova but to a better image of the country in the world because on October 6-7 Chisinau would be the very place the world community would focus its attention on."
