Former head of the Saudi intelligence Prince Turki al Feisal asserts that Osama bin Laden is alive and will appear "in due time." Speaking on the Lebanese Al-Mustaqbal channel on Sunday the Prince declared: 'I am convinced that Osama bin Laden is alive and waits to appear in due time, as he has repeatedly done in the past." The former intelligence chief said that according to his information, Al-Qaeda now numbers no more than 5,000 members and that the organisation was dealt a lethal blow." The Prince noted that before the September 11 events, the Saudi intelligence received many reports that Al-Qaeda was preparing a series of major acts of terrorism against the USA, but it was unable to find out the time, location and targets of the terrorist blows. He also confirmed that Sudan offers the authorities of the kingdom to extradite Osama bin Laden, but the terms advanced by Khartoum proved to be unacceptable for Er-Riadh.
