The sixth joint seminar of Russia's and Finland's border commissioners will be held in the Russian town of Vyborg on October 24. This is according to the press service of the Northwestern Regional Directorate of the Federal Border Service of Russia. Border commissioners from the two countries will summarise the results of joint activities in 2002, exchange their experiences organising cooperation protecting state borders, and determine the principal areas of cooperation for 2003.
The Russian delegation is headed by Colonel General Alexander Golbakh, the head of the Northwestern Federal Border Service Directorate of Russia. The Finnish delegation - by Yaakko Smolander, Deputy Director of the Border Service of the Republic of Finland.
