The Ukrainian government is ready to negotiate with Moscow in any format, including through intermediaries, the director of the information policy department of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine, Yevgeny Perebiynis said.
"Ukraine is ready for consultations both bilaterally with the Russian side, and with the involvement of international mediators from the EU and the U.S.," said the diplomat.
In turn, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia was ready to consider a multilateral format for the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis with the participation of European countries, the U.S., Russia and the Ukrainian side.
"Indeed, we are ready to consider a multilateral format, in which Europe, the United States, Russia and the Ukrainian side would be represented," said Lavrov.
