A Russo-Vietnamese department has been established at Hanoi University.
The university's administration reported on Thursday that the department would provide college and university education and prepare candidates and doctors of sciences in accordance with Russian curriculum and standards.
The first Russian language courses will open at the department on November 21st. After a year-long course students will be able to launch a specialised course in computing, economics, electric engineering or mechanics. It will take four years to become a qualified specialist either in Hanoi only, or 2+2 years of studies in Vietnam and Russia.
Upon graduating from the university, its students will be given diplomas of Hanoi University or Russian higher educational establishments.
