Today, Valentina Matvienko, a Deputy Prime-Minister of Russia has arrived in Estonia on a two-day-long working visit. According to the press service of Russia's government, Mrs. Matvienko will attend a Russian-Estonian interparliamentary conference on trade, technological, social, and humanitarian cooperation.
The press service also said, agreements to eliminate double taxation and curb tax evasion and protocols concerning the pending agreements on retirement pensions are expected to be signed during the visit.
Mrs. Matvienko is supposed to have meetings with Estonian President, Arnold Ruutel; Speaker of Estonian Parliament, Toomas Savi; Foreign Minister Christina Ms. Kristiina Ojuland, and Mayor of Tallinn, Edgar Savisaari.
