Terrorist attack prevented in Ingushetia

The Ingushetia (Republic in the North Caucasus, part of Russia) Interior Department has prevented a terrorist attack in Nazran. According to the Ingushetia Interior Department, yesterday the local police discovered a homemade explosive device planted on a roadside. Experts who arrived at the scene managed to neutralise the land-mine.

The explosive device is reported to have been placed in a plastic bag and consisted of a TM-47 tank mine, 4 kilograms of plastic stuffed with nail scraps and a radio set, through which the terrorist had planned to detonate the bomb.

The Nazran Prosecutor's office has initiated a criminal case on terrorism charges, investigation is being conducted.
