Benazir Bhutto’s supporters gathered in front of mausoleum where her father was buried and her body will be placed.
Her mourners arrived by tractors, buses, cars and jeeps and surrounded the marble mausoleum. Hundreds of rows were formed for the funeral prayers, the AP reports.
People express their anger by shunting wrathful slogans against the pro-government political party . Many were in tears.
On 27 December 2007, Bhutto was killed while entering a vehicle upon leaving a political rally for the Pakistan People's Party in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. A suicidal assassin reportedly fired shots in Bhutto's direction just prior to detonating an explosive pellet-laden vest, killing approximately 22 people and wounding many more.
The attack occurred just after Bhutto left the rally, where she had given a campaign address to party supporters in the run-up to the January 2008 parliamentary elections. She was pronounced dead at 6:16 p.m. local time at Rawalpindi General Hospital.
