All remaining dates through the end of the year were canceled by the White Stripes.
The latest announcement, posted Sept. 12 on the duo's Web site, said the cancellations included fall dates in the U.K. The day before, the band said drummer Meg White was suffering from acute anxiety and was unable to travel.
"They thank you for your understanding and well wishes," the latest Web site posting said.
White and singer-guitarist Jack White had been touring to promote their latest album, "Icky Thump."
Ticket holders can get refunds at the point of purchase, the Web site said, except for the Austin City Limits Festival, which is nonrefundable.
