Police officers of the interior affairs administration in Irkutsk (Siberia) nabbed a 35-year-old Irkutsk male suspected of sexual harassment. Vadim Ocheredin refused to testify at first, but after investigators presented him the conclusive evidence, the man pleaded guilty.
It was revealed during the investigation that the man started taking women out on dates in a rather weird way a year ago. He sent women letters with an offer to meet and with a threat to kill them, if they declined. The man enclosed nude pictures of him in every envelope, Vesti-Irkutsk reports.
Vadim Ocheredin said that he did not pursue a certain goal with those actions of his. He said that he always had problems with women: "I have been beaten and robbed on many occasions because of women. My resentment against them started there," Ocheredin told the police.
Vadim asked his "girlfriends" to send their replies to a local post office in Irkutsk, where he was eventually arrested on September 10th. He came to the post office, took a letter out of his mailbox and went out of the building. Police officers arrested the man outside.
The man has been charged with a threat of murder. Three criminal cases have been filed. Law-enforcement officers say that Ocheredin sent over 15 threatening letters to women. The investigation continues.
