A survey carried out among 1000 American teenagers between 12 and 17 has shown that the famous slogan of the Seventies "sex, drugs and rock'n'roll" is just as relevant now as it was then. The teenagers revealed that at least a half of their friends who have sex also smoke marijuana, cigarettes and drink alcohol.
For moral reasons, sociologists deliberately did not ask the young people about themselves, but suggested instead grassing on their friends. The result was that 1 in 4 of those asked said their friends led an active sex life. It was also revealed that: -66% of those who have sex consume alcohol, compared to 10% among American virgins -in the month before the survey, 30% of those who are sexually active had drunk themselves into a state of unconsciousness, compared to only 1% of those who were not -among those who have sex, 45% had tried marijuana and cigarettes, compared to 8% among teenager-ascetics Another interesting discovery was that the more teenagers spend time with their sexual partner, the more likely it is that they will lose their inhibitions by using alcohol and other substances. Finally, 80% of those asked believe that those who lead a loose way of life "look like losers", while only 10% admitted that smoking, drinking and having sex was "cool". Teenagers always look for means of self-expression, and what could be easier than sex, marijuana and beer at this age? Certainly not going to classical music concerts and art exhibitions.
