Michael Jackson wants to go down under on Nicole Kidman

Pop star Michael Jackson wanted to invite Australian actress Nicole Kidman to accompany him to the coming MTV Music Awards show. The notorious American singer, whose name is currently associated with sexual molestation charges, called the film star and offered her to go to the ceremony together.

Nicole Kidman was stunned with the singer's unexpected interest: "There was a call from his people to mine asking if he could take me to the Awards. I had never even met him, it was a little strange. I did decline, but hey, the way my love life is, I took it as a great compliment. I keep thinking of those ridiculous photographs of Michael in a shocking wig at Disneyland. So call me crazy but it just didn't tempt me to want to accept," the actress said in a radio interview.

A spokesperson for Nicole Kidman said the film star delighted him in Stanley Kubrick's movie Eyes Wide Shut. Yet, the two celebrities do not make a couple: Michael is not in Nicole's taste.

On the other hand, Nicole Kidman's private life is not happy either. She has not visited any Hollywood parties since her eleven years of marriage to Tom Cruise ended in divorce in 2001. The actress thinks it is hard for her to build a healthy and stable relationship. She pointed out it is extremely hard to balance between family and career. The film star is certain love and business don't mix. Michael Jackson is definitely not a good partner for Nicole Kidman, despite his title of the king of pop.

Nicole Kidman's refusal has not upset the American singer. Most likely, Michael's suggestion was a joke. It is hard to believe Jackson was serious about the Aussie movie star.
