Mikhail Gorbachev's granddaughter is getting married today. The granddaughter of the USSR's ex-president, Ksenia, is marrying Kirill Solod. Mikhail Gorbachev commented at a press briefing that he welcomed Ksenia's choice.
"He is from a good family. There is something conservative about them, and I believe that such families raise good people," Gorbachev said. The press service of Mikhail Gorbachev's foundation said that Kirill Solod's father deals with small business. Gorbachev also said that he was against a luxuriant wedding: "It will be a good, normal wedding, but not a luxuriant one from the point of view of the Moscow standard. There will not be a lot of people present."
The ex-president said that every guest would have their role at the wedding: "I am supposed to take Ksenia right to Kirill. It will be hard to me to do it, I think it will bring tears to my eyes," Gorbachev said.
