A week-old victory at the Mercedes Cup in Stuttgart and the entrance into the quarterfinal of the Sopot tournament in Poland have been gradually improving ATP /Association of Tennis Professionals/ rating of Russian tennis player Mikhail Yuzhny. In a new rating list released on Monday, the 20-year old Russian player is ranking 29th making two positions up.
Only six positions now stand between the young Mikhail Yuzhny and the experienced Yevgeny Kafelnikov. The latter have been storming the world's top twenty for several months running and is now ranking 23rd in the list.
