Beautiful actress Nicole Kidman who is so much adored by men, is currently acting in a new film “Cold Mountains”. A Romanian village of Potigrafu in the Carpathian Mountains was picked out for shooting the landscape of the film. Mayor of the settlement Gheorghe Voicu was happy to know that Potigrafu had been picked out for the film, and organized thorough preparation for receiving the guests. However, he faced one problem connected with morals of the local population. The problem is that locals traditionally gather near a monument dedicated to WWII victims for drinking alcohol. It is often that drunk people sing loud songs right near the monument. Women of the village are already accustomed to the awful tradition, however, the mayor fears that delicate Nicole Kidman may get scared with such singing of drunk men.
That is why Gheorghe Voicu decreed that village men should give up drinking alcohol, at least for the period of film shooting in the village.
So, Potigrafu presents now an ideal village with geese and other cattle grazing quietly along the roads. Those people who like drinking alcohol were prohibited to go outdoor being drunk. Violators of the decree will be severely fined. The penalty will make up $30, a really great sum for Romania.
