A series of new stamps will be issued on July 25, said the Marka publishing-trade centre, attached to the Russian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
The new stamps depict old carriages of the 17th-18th centuries, kept at the Armour Chamber of the Moscow Kremlin. The stamps were made by drawings of artist Leonid Zaitsev. Modern polygraphic technologies, such as multi-coloured offset with embossed stamping, were used to print the stamps. The stamps are also covered with 22-carat gold. The stamps will be issued in blocks (three stamps in each block).
On July 25 the Moscow's General Post-Office will host a memorable cancellation of the stamps by the so-called special First-Day postmark.
