British Duke Edward of Kent will arrive in Moscow on a three-day visit on Thursday. He will visit Murmansk, Severomorsk and Arkhangelsk to see the burial places of British servicemen, killed during World War I and World War II. Duke Edward is the chairman of the British Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
On Thursday evening the duke will arrive at Vnukovo airport. On Friday, July 19th, he is scheduled to meet with the Arkhangelsk authorities, to lay wreaths to the Eternal Fire and to see the British war graves at the Vologda cemetery.
After that, the Duke of Kent will fly to Murmansk. He will lay wreaths at the Rogozersk (New British) and municipal (the northern industrial zone) cemeteries. On Friday afternoon the distinguished British guest will meet with the Murmansk authorities and lay wreaths to the monument to the Arctic defenders.
On Saturday, July 20th, Edward of Kent will attend war graves in Severomorsk and leave for London in the evening.
