Archbishop Lev, the head of the Orthodox Church of Finland, arrived yesterday in Moscow by invitation of Patriarch of Moscow and of All Russia Alexy II. As the secretary of the information department of the Finnish Orthodox Church administration, Deacon Mikko Sidoroff, told a Rosbalt correspondent, the archbishop will be accompanied by Archpriest Mikko Kyarki from Kuopio, Preist Timo Tunkkunen from Imatra and Archdeacon Paavo Kokotti from Kuopio.
The archbishop's visit to Moscow will include a meeting with Alexy II, talks with the head of the department of external church links of the Moscow patriarchy Archbishop Kirill, a visit to the Kremlin and to Moscow monasteries and churches, in particular the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, to the Troitse-Sergeyev Monastry and to the Sofrino factory. He is also expected to take part in the Finnish delegation's ceremonial liturgies and all-night services in the Kremlin, the Svyato-Danilovsky Monastry and the Troitse-Sergeyev Monastry. The archbishop's visit will end on June 20.
