Russian tennis player Yelena Likhovtseva has reached the quarterfinal at Wimbledon. She coolly dispatched experienced Bulgarian Magdalena Maleeva 6:3, 6:4 to reach the next round.
The Russian confidently held her serve and expected her opponent to make mistakes. As a result, Likhovtseva needed just 68 minutes to book her place in the last eight.
Likhovtseva will meet world no.1 Venus Williams in the quarterfinal, after she easily overcame fellow American Lisa Raymond 6:1, 6:2.
