Polish stage director Janusz Josefowicz and composer Janusz Stoklosa have been awarded Russian diplomas for their internationally renowned musical "Metro." The show, with its Russian version running at the Moscow's Operetta Theater, is seen as a significant contribution to cultural cooperation between the people of Russia and Poland.
Josefowicz says he is now planning another ambitious Polish-Russian project. It will be "Romeo and Juliet," a musical with the scores by a Polish composer and the libretto by a Russian author. The Moscow venue for this new show will again be the Operetta Theater, he says.
