From May 28 to 31, St. Petersburg LenExpo will host the 10th international trade fair Welding 2002, with the participation of more than 200 companies from Russia, Austria, Armenia, Belarus, Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, Georgia, Denmark, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine, Finland, Switzerland and Sweden. The leading welding manufacturers of Russia, EletricKahovsky Zavod, Austrian Fronius and Deloro Stellite Group, and European industry leaders ESAB (Sweden) and Kemppi (Finland) will all present their latest feasts of engineering and technology.
The international conference on modern issues in welding and accompanying technologies will take place on May 29 and 30, its numerous roundtables bringing together experts from all over the world. The 4th chemical forum, the 9th international anti-corrosion exposition and the 5th international conference on new materials and technologies to prevent corrosion will all take place within the framework of the event.
The St. Petersburg welding exposition has been the main industry event for the last 30 years, being of great interests to the manufacturers and consumers of welding equipment and accompanying machines alike. The event has been awarded the honorary plaque 'For the significant contribution into the Russian economy and promoting technological and business cooperation in the world.'
The exposition is organised by LenExpo and the Russian Institute of Welding, with the participation of the Ministry of Industry, Science and Technology, the St. Petersburg administration, the Russian Engineering Academy, the Academy of Electronic Sciences, the Russian Welding Union, St. Petersburg Welders' Alliance, the Northwestern Region administration and German Welders' Union (DVS). The Russian Railways Ministry, the State Building Committee and the Transstroy building corporation have all contributed to the event.
