On Thursday Sergei Stepashin, head of the Audit Chamber, and Boris Gryzlov, minister of the interior, had a meeting. The press service of the Audit Chamber reported that the interlocutors shared the opinion that the interaction between the two bodies based on the agreement on cooperation signed last year, has been consolidated, and they expressed their intention to develop this cooperation further. Sergei Stepashin and Boris Gryzlov exchanged their views on enforcement of protection of the state's interests in what concerns management of federal property and budgetary expenditure. Attention was focused on improving the efficiency of their joint operations. The heads of the Audit Chamber and Ministry of the Interior discussed opportunities for the creation of favorable investment climate in the country, and for counteracting illegal flight of capital and money laundering.
