Half-litre of cockroaches costs 100 rubles

On the threshold of April first, in a newspaper of the city of Volgograd an advertisement was published, which read: “Wanted: cockroaches in unlimited number, big, living, for lab investigation. 100 rubles (approximately $ 33.00) for a half-litre jar.” IMA-press corresponded, who found funny this 1-April joke, dialled the telephone number and learned that big cockroaches were really paid for. Though it remained secret for him, what the experiments would be carried out with these “domestic animals.” Only one thing was promised: the cockroaches would not be used for pharmaceutical aims.
