Russia's federal Interior Minister Boris Gryzlov has spoken out in favour of a radical reform of the country's migration service. Russia is currently home to about a million foreign residents many of who are living here illegally, Gryzlov said Wednesday. Such a situation should not be left unchanged, believes the minister. Illegal immigration is a problem which can be resolved, among other things, by adopting related laws, according to Gryzlov. Russia has recently abolished the ministry of federation affairs, national and migration policies authorising the interior ministry to handle migration issues.
