The filling of pontoons standing at the Giant 4 barge and the Kursk submarine with outside water must be completed within the next few hours, the head of the Northern Fleet's press service, Vladimir Navrotsky, said on Friday. Currently, divers are checking the pontoons' docking platforms. Navrotsky said the first pontoon will begin to be fixed under the barge on Saturday. The fixing of the second pontoon is planned for Sunday. The head of the press service said that the Giant 4/Kursk combination is expected to be towed to floating dock #50 from a ship-repair plant in Roslyakovo on Monday. Before that, the depth of the bay will be measured. A certain amount of water will be pumped out of the pontoons to raise the barge and the submarine by six to seven metres, after which they will be ready to enter the dock.
