Fighting Criminal Group Financing Addressed

Director of the Russian Federal Tax Police Service Mikhail Fradkov discussed fighting against financing of criminal groups suspected of connections with extremists with Presidential Representative in the Southern Federal District Viktor Kazantsev and leadership of the local tax police bodies in Rostov-on-Don Tuesday. The tax police reported that the meeting was held within the framework of Mr. Fradkov's one-day visit to Rostov-on-Don. During the meeting, its participants addressed closer cooperation of the regional law enforcement bodies in counteracting economic crimes of organizations suspected of involvement with terrorist and extremist groups, the tax police said. Mr. Fradkov also introduced to Mr. Kazantsev his new deputy. Valery Napalkov has been recently named the head of the Main Department of the Tax Service in the Southern Federal District.
