New electronic equipment, designed to ensure safety and security of landing passenger jets in any weather, even with no visibility, has begun to be installed at Moscow's Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo-2 airports, said the State Civil Aviation Service on Friday. The equipment has been developed and manufactured by Polyot company in Chelyabinsk, the Urals, it has already proved its worth in northern airports, which are especially often subjected to weather change. Renewal of technical facilities at Moscow airports is part of a programme to improve the safety of air passenger services.
