The establishment of the Sukhoi Aviation Holding Company opens a new page in reforming the Russian defense industry and will allow to concentrate efforts on creating warplanes of the fifth generation. This was said to reporters on Tuesday by Vice-Premier and Minister of Industry, Science and Technology Ilya Klebanov in a commentary on a decree issued by Russia's President Vladimir Putin. To Klebanov, the holding will be made up of three specialised aircraft-making factories, based in Irkutsk (East Siberia), Novosibirsk (West Siberia) and Komsomolsk-on-Amur (Russia's Far East). 100 percent of the shares of the latter two will belong to the state, Klebanov stressed. Within the holding will be created a single marketing service, which will coordinate efforts of the Sukhoi companies on international markets.
