The Russian national soccer team was placed in group H of the 2002 World Cup Finals together with Japan. This fact became known on Saturday during the draw of the Finals groups which at this very moment was taking place in the South Korean city of Pusan. The Belgian team also joined group H. The fourth member of the group was not announced yet.
