Tula Hosts Presentation Of Brand-new Pistol

. The pistol designed by Gryazev and Shipunov, an academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, is three times lighter than the Makarov pistol. It has an 18-bullet cartridge. The GSh-18 has already been tested by special forces in Chechnya and proved to be a top-class pistol. The GSh-18 will compete for the adoption by the Russian army. The all-Russian scientific-practical conference The History and Modern Development of Russian Pistol Complexes was launched at the Tula Instrument-making Design Bureau on Friday. It has gathered experts from over 50 design bureaus and plants, the Defence Ministry, the General Staff, the Interior Ministry and other law enforcement agencies.
