The Constitutional Party of the Russian Federation was formed at its founding congress in Moscow on Saturday. In all, 192 delegates from 62 regions of Russia are participating in its work. This party will be guided by such values as "national spirit, legitimacy and patriotism". Its place is on the right-of-center of the national political life. Its leader is expected to be Vyacheslav Volkov, former deputy chief of the presidential administration under Boris Yeltsin. The Constitutional Party views as its probable allies the Democratic Party of Russia and the Union of Right Forces. The new party's public council may be led by former chief of the Yeltsin administration Sergei Filatov.
