RIA Novosti Recognised the Best News Agency at All-Russian Journalists Contests

At the All-Russian contest of journalists, the Golden Gong-2002, RIA Novosti was recognised the winner in the nomination "the News Agency of the Year." The ceremony of awarding the winners will take place on Tuesday in the concert hall of the President Hotel, reported the Alliance of the Heads of the Regional Mass Media of Russia.

The winners will be presented the statuette of the Goddess of News Iris and memorable certificates. The winners of special nominations will receive diplomas and memorable presents.

For the first time the Golden Gong was held in the context of the Open Festival of the Mass Media, the Gong Mass Media, in September 1994.
