Russia is Poland's greatest enemy according to a survey carried out by a Polish research centre while 50% of respondents consider the USA to be Poland's greatest ally and Germany (34%) and France (25%) are considered the second and third greatest allies respectively.
In total 54% of respondents said they believe that Poland has international allies. One quarter of respondents claimed they were not sure whether Poland had any allies. Almost half (45%) of the respondents believe that Poland has no enemies whatsoever while 28% said that there are no actual countries which are hostile towards Poland. When asked about Poland's enemies 50% said Russia was the greatest enemy with Germany (40%), Belarus (17%) and Iraq (7%) voted as the next greatest enemies.
The survey was carried out in Poland on January 11-13 and involved 1007 adult respondents.
