South Korean film "Road Towards Home" won the Grand-Prix of the 19th International Film Festival of Films for Children and Youth, which was accomplished in Moscow on Monday. Film director Li Jung-Hyang was awarded the "Golden Swan".
This decision taken by the professional adult board of judges headed by Japanese film critic Chie Ogi was supported by senior children's board of judges, which also awarded the top mark to this South Korean film. The junior children's board of judges selected the American "Glacial period" movie.
In total, 11 films representing more than 10 cinema industries of the world participated in the festival's competition program.
Special prizes - bronze bears - were awarded to Polish "The Letter" movie in the nomination for directorship, to Chinese "Roots and Branches" movie with the annotation for "masterful realization of the child's spiritual world" and to he Finnish "Rolly" film.
