Sevtlana Kuznetsova, Russia, and Martina Navritalova have won the ladies' doubles event at the Gold Coast tournament in Australia. Kuzentsova and Navritalova beat the French pairing of Natalie Dechy and Emilie Loit 6:4, 6:4 in the final on Saturday.
The Russian and the Czech-born American also beat number one seeds Ai Sugiyama (Japan) and Meghan Shaughnessy (US) on the way to the final.
Their victory in the final prevented Natalie Dechy from doing the Gold Coast double after her winning the singles final, where she beat the Swiss player, Marie Gaiane Mikaelian.
The Gold Coast victory became Martina Navritalova's 166th career title.
