Russian and Chinese cinematographers have agreed in Beijing to develop cooperation in cinema. The agreement was reached during the first session of the Russo-Chinese group on cinematography cooperation that took place in the Chinese capital on Thursday.
First Deputy Culture Minister Alexander Golutva headed the Russian delegation, while the Chinese one was headed by Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for TV, Radio and Cinema of the PRC Zhao Shi.
The session adopted a resolution on the working group, discussed prospective trends of cooperation and approved the plan of work for 2003. In accordance with it, a week of Chinese films and an exchange of delegations will take place in Russia. China also plans to actively participate in Moscow's and other Russian regional cinema festivals, while cinematographers from Russia will take part in the Shanghai international festival.
The sides agreed to render assistance to each other in shooting joint production films and exchanges between movie educational establishments of the two countries.
