Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexis II left Moscow's Central Clinical Hospital on Thursday, the Moscow Patriarchate's External Church Relations Department told RIA Novosti.
The Patriarch had suffered a hypertension attack and underwent a treatment in the Hospital. Alexis II is yet to undergo rehabilitation, but he is already addressing routine issues of church life, according to the Department. On November 29, for one, the Russian Patriarch is scheduled to meet Garegin II, the Catholicos of All Armenians.
As RIA Novosti knows from the Church Scientific Centre, Orthodox Encyclopaedia, on Thursday his Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia was transferred to the Barvikha sanatorium.
Medics said the Patriarch was in stable condition and did not need to stay in hospital, and prescribed him to go to the sanatorium.
Whilst in Barvikha, Alexis II will continue his activities. The Moscow Patriarchate's Office is already making up a schedule of the patriarchal meetings, visits and receptions for the year's end, said the Orthodox Encyclopaedia Centre.
