Three Chechens suspected of being accomplices in the seizure of hostages in the Theatre Center on Dubrovka were taken into custody for 10 days. According to the information provided by the Moscow prosecutor's office, on Saturday the Zamoskvoretsky court of Moscow upon the representation of the Moscow prosecutor's office ruled to take the three suspected persons into custody for ten days. Presently necessary investigation actions are being carried out in relation to the suspects.
Three natives of the Chechen republic were arrested the day before within the framework of the investigation of the criminal case initiated by the prosecutor's office under articles "seizure of hostages" and "terrorism" in connection with the tragic events in the theatre center on Dubrovka on 23-26 October this year when Chechen terrorists seized more than 800 people in the theatre. The prosecutor's office reported that they were suspected of being "accomplices in seizure of hostages".
According to the official information, as a result of actors and several hundreds of spectators of the Nord-Ost musical in the Moscow theatre center on Dubrovka being taken hostage, 128 people died and about 700 suffered. Still 9 former hostages are undergoing treatment in city hospitals, four of them are in a serious condition.
