St. Petersburg is getting ready to host the 13th Festival of Finnish Films. Pictures created by film directors from Suomi will be screened at the Rodina Movie Theatre between November 22nd and December 1st. The event was organized by the Finnish Consulate General to St. Petersburg.
According to a source in the movie theatre, the festival starts off with a film called "Up in the Clouds," whose creator, Aku Louhimies, is coming to St. Petersburg to attend the opening ceremony and greet the audience.
During the festival week, the movie theater will screen five films created by Finnish producers in the past two years. Finnish students in St. Petersburg and people studying the Finnish language will have the opportunity to watch movies in the original on November 30th and December 1st.
