The Pskov-based companies Lyubyatovo and Pskovalko will display their products (breakfast cereals and strong alcoholic drinks) at the RIGA FOOD 2002 exhibition. According to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Pskov Region, the exhibition, which takes place on September 11 and 12 in the Latvian capital, will include an international business meeting of representatives of the food industry from the CIS and countries of the Baltic Sea. According to Tatyana Troshkovaya, the head of the Chamber's department of foreign trade links and information, a further ten or so Pskov-based companies will also take part.
During the course of the two-day conference, plenary sessions and round-table discussions are planned. These will involve the relevant officials of embassies in Latvia, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and also trade representatives from CIS and Baltic countries. Several special seminars will be organised for manufacturers of food products and trade organisations. In all, according to the Pskov Region's Chamber of Commerce and Industry, around 500 companies from over 20 countries will display their products at the exhibition.
