Russian team defeats Italy at Women's Volleyball World Championship

At the Women's Volleyball World Championship, the Russian team defeated the team from Italy 3:2 /25:18, 24:26, 25:17, 21:25, 15:13/.

According to the RIA Novosti correspondent, local sports experts called the game "spatter of champagne". Everybody pointed out the high class of the game shown by the Russian team, with the tallest captain Yekaterina Gamova /205 centimetres/. The Italian team was also noted for their pertinacity, their ability to play tough in every episode and their wish to snatch the victory.

On Saturday the Russian team will meet with the Greek team, which, according to experts, "can come out with a surprise at any moment."
