Misusage of a police portable radio is strictly criticized, especially for calling extraordinary help but not to a crime site, but to a public lavatory to deliver toilet paper. One day a policeman in Nottinghamshire, being on duty, felt the need to go to the toilet. He rushed to a nearby public toilet situated in the Tesco store. When the policeman got into a cabin, he realized that there was no toilet paper in it. The smart man arrived at a solution immediately: he called for reinforcement and asked the colleagues to bring a roll of toilet paper.
More policemen arrived to the place in several minutes, almost immediately. When the resourceful policeman completed the procedure in the toilet, his colleagues triumphantly met him at the toilet’s entrance.
Tesco customers, however, were indignant at actions of the policemen who were playing about instead of fighting with criminals. The central police department got information about the accident at the store. The policeman who misused the portable radio to call for reinforcement with toilet paper will be imposed a heavy fine upon.
