Powerful rainstorms will hit Moscow and the surrounding region following snowfall, warned meteorologist and senior specialist at the Phobos Weather Center, Evgeny Tishkovets, as reported by 360.ru.
The weather will deteriorate sharply on Wednesday, 26 November.
“In the warm front zone, snow, wet snow, and rain will fall intermittently during the day and evening, totaling six to nine liters of precipitation per square meter,”
forecasted Tishkovets.
By Wednesday morning, heavy precipitation will form a snow cover reaching up to three centimeters. Temperatures are expected to range from 0 to +3 degrees Celsius.
On Thursday, 27 November, temperatures will rise, and the snow in Moscow and the surrounding region will give way to heavy rain. The air will warm to between +4 and +7 degrees Celsius, according to the forecast.
