Opinion poll: 5% ready to give their votes to Communists

The Yedinaya Rossiya (Unified Russia), the Communist Party and LD wouldsurpass the 5 percent level, mustering 31, 18 and 6 percent respectively,if the elections in the State Duma took place this coming Sunday. These arethe results of an opinion poll, held by the Public Opinion Foundation in100 places of inhabitance of 44 regions and republics of the RussianFederation on August 10-11, 2002. 1,500 respondents participated in thepoll. According to it, Yabloko would muster 4 percent, the Union of RightForces (SPS) - 3 and the Agrarians - 3 percent of votes. One third ofRussians (34%) remained undecided. .
