Igor Larionov has no intentions to wrap up his career of an ice-hockey player. According to a RIA Novosti correspondent, this was disclosed by the three times winner of the Stanley Cup, 41-year-old hockey player on Tuesday in the course of the press-conference at the Savoy hotel in Moscow.
According to the athlete, the coming season will hardly be the last one in his long career. "I'm still strong, and I'm feeling that it is still to early to quit," Larionov said.
At the same time, he said, that last season he had some thoughts about quitting, but things changed for the better after that. Larionov also added that he has reached almost all sports apexes. By playing for the Soviet Team, for TsSKA and for "Detroit Red Wings" he had won many prizes.
"Red Wings" is the only variant of his future career, Larionov said. Moreover, in the opinion of the hockey player, it is very important that his family got used to living in Detroit. "It is important for me that my family has a permanent home," Larionov said.
