"Patriarch Alexei II of Moscow and All Russia has recuperated and is resuming his daily duties," reported the Moscow Patriarchate's Foreign Church Relations Department on Monday.
Though the Patriarch is still in hospital, "the doctors are reporting positive dynamics in his condition," noted at the Foreign Church Relations Department.
"Transferred from the intensive care department to a ward for recuperating patients, His Holiness gets up for his daily prayers, receives visitors, reads incoming mail, and takes decisions on various issues of church life. On Sundays His Holiness prays and takes Holy Communion during Divine Liturgy said in his ward," the Foreign Church Relations Department reported.
"The head of the Russian Orthodox Church hopes to resume his pastoral duties soon," stressed the Foreign Church Relations Department.
