Russian tennis-player Anna Kournikova told reporters she enjoyed her first victorious Kremlin Cup match (6:4, 6:3) in Moscow against Switzerland's recently-qualified Marie-Gaianeh Mikaelian.
"I played well today. I succeeded in deriving as much pleasure from this match as possible," said Kournikova.
Touching upon her recent performance in various tennis competitions, Kournikova said she needed more stability to show good results.
Kournikova's next rival will be her compatriot Nadezhda Petrova who triumphed over Martina Hingis in the first round of the Moscow tournament.
