The second international Russian Infocommunications in the 21st Century exhibition (Infocom-2002) opens today in Moscow. The conference is devoted to telecommunications and new infocommunications technology. The event's organisers informed Rosbalt's correspondent that the first results of the Electronic Russia federal targeted programme will be presented at the exhibition. The most significant aspects of the programme for the general public are distance medicine, distance learning and equipping schools with information technology.
