Chairman of the Council of Muftis of Russia Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin will perform the Friday evening namaz to pray for the release of the hundreds of peaceful citizens and innocent women and children held hostage in Moscow. This was reported by the press service of the Council of Muftis of Russia.
The solemn service which will be held today on juma-namaz day in the Moscow Cathedral Mosque, the main mosque of Russian Muslims, will be attended by Prince of Saudi Arabia Turki al-Feisal who is currently on a visit in Russia, and by Dr. Abdallah bin Abdul-Mohsin al-Turki, General Secretary of the Muslim World League.
The press-service also noted that the Muslim clergy of the Council of Muftis of Russia will hold in all mosques a dum-namaz (prayer) praying to Almighty Allah that the situation would end without any loss of life and that all the hostages would go back to their homes and families
